I stayed here for a night and found the staff incredibly welcoming. They provided cookies at check-in! The heated pool was a hit with my kids, and the breakfast selection was impressive. For families, pack snacks. the convenience store nearby closes early.

It was just a well-suited match for a speedy visit in La Junta with good price-value balance. The carpet looked like it hadn't been vacuumed, which made me hesitant to use the bed. Check to see if renovations are complete before you book your stay.

The entrance and sign-in area leave much to be desired, resembling a cluttered workspace rather than a welcoming hotel entrance. The room I stayed in displayed signs of wear, from a window with its trim partially detached to tiles laid down in a hurry, and the overall cleanliness did not meet Holiday Inn Express standards. To make matters worse, ongoing renovations turned the hallways into a paint job display, with strong fumes invading living spaces, which made it hard to relax and enjoy my stay.
